Prospect OHV Trail System

Rogue River National Forest, Oregon

This was a huge, complex, multi-year project that brought OHV use on an entire Ranger District under management. Dick consulted for many years during the planning stages and then returned to do the final trail layout and oversee construction. The result is a very scenic 250-mile trail system that required 55 miles of new construction. At the core of the area is the Woodruff Staging Area which Dick designed. It includes a group camp, trailhead, a play area, motocross-like track, a learner's loop, and three very dense serpentine trails that make up "The Maze."
