Shoshone OHV Trail System Battle Mountain BLM, Nevada

This is a proactive project by the BLM to implement a designated, managed OHV trail system in an area that is currently open to unrestricted use. The goals are to provide a high-quality recreation experience, protect resources, and help the local economy. Dick consulted here in 2003 and developed a conceptual plan for a 500-mile trail system. In 2004, he was invited back to start laying out 55 miles of new trail for Phase I.
